Installing 3DXChat
Once the ZIP file has finished downloading, you can start the installation process.
1. Extract the files
The file you downloaded is a compressed ZIP archive. You must first extract the files before running the installer.
To do this:
- Located the downloaded ZIP file on your computer
- Right-click and choose Extract all
- Select or create a folder where the files should be extracted

Once the extraction is complete, open the folder you just created. You should see several files, including 3DXChat.exe.
2. Start the launcher
Inside the extracted folder, double-click 3DXChat.exe to start the launcher.
The launcher will:
- download the remaining game files (around 3.2 GB)
- automatically extract those files

If nothing seems to happen right away, just give it a moment before closing anything.

🛠️Troubleshooting & common issues
If something went wrong during download, installation, or first launch, don’t panic! The fixes below cover most of the common issues our users have run into in the past.
Spoiler alert: most problems are due to incomplete extraction, security software interference, or the launcher needing a bit more time on first start.
The launcher does not start after downloading
If you try to run the launcher directly from the ZIP file, Windows may block it or nothing will happen at all.
Fix: Make sure you fully extracted the ZIP file first. Right-click the ZIP file, choose Extract all, then run 3DXChat.exe from the extracted folder.
Nothing happens when running 3DXChat.exe
In some cases, Windows prevents the launcher from starting due to permission restrictions.
Fix: Right-click 3DXChat.exe and choose Run as administrator. If the launcher opens, let it complete the download and installation without closing it early.
The launcher opens but never reaches the login screen
On first launch, the launcher needs time to download, extract, and prepare game files. This can make it look like the program is stuck or inactive.
Fix: Give the launcher a few minutes to complete the process, especially on first start. If it still doesn’t continue, close it, then run 3DXChat.exe again as an administrator.
The launcher gets stuck when extracting or unpacking files
Several users have reported the launcher stopping during extraction, sometimes with a disk write or unpacking error.
Fix: Make sure there is enough free disk space on the drive where 3DXChat is installed. Avoid running the installer from restricted folders. If possible, extract and install the game to a simple path such as C:\games\3dxchat.
Antivirus software blocks or removes the launcher
Some antivirus programs, especially McAfee and Norton, may (falsely) flag the launcher during installation. This can cause the program to disappear or stop working after a few days.
Fix: Temporarily disable your antivirus during installation. After installation, add the 3DXChat folder to your antivirus exclusion list before launching the game again.
The game loads, but gets stuck on logging in or connecting
If the game starts but never loads your avatar or shows connection errors, this is usually related to network or connection checks during login.
Fix: Close the game completely and restart it. If the issue persists, reinstalling the game after fully extracting the ZIP file usually resolves it.
The game closes automatically after a short countdown
Some users report the launcher counting down and then closing without showing the login screen.
Fix: This can happen when files were not extracted correctly or were removed by security software. Re-download the installer, fully extract the ZIP file, and reinstall with antivirus temporarily disabled.
The desktop shortcut is missing
In some cases, the installer does not create a desktop shortcut automatically.
Fix: Open the folder where 3DXChat is installed, right-click 3DXChat.exe, then choose Send to > Desktop (create shortcut).
The download link is missing
After payment, the download link is not sent as a separate file attachment.
Fix: Log in to the 3DXChat members area using the credentials from your confirmation email. The download link is available directly on the members dashboard.
